Thursday, December 8th

Every other week, I go to my knitting group at the library.  It's wonderful, a quirky group of women from younger than me to late 70's, rural born to city born and working on every kind of project (that is another scarf I have begun for my brother).  Normally, we just knit and drink tea but this week, we had our festive celebration, otherwise called our "Pig and Knit".  The treats were incredible.  I made some shortbread in a wonderful pan I was given several years ago (thanks, yet again, Kittenpie!)  The best, though, we the empire biscuits, made by one of our "Scottish ladies"- they were divine.  We are planning on charity knitting projects for the winter and I am really looking forward to it.

  1. I would love, love, LOVE to find a group like this in my tiny town. I would really enjoy something like that.

  2. You should start one. My friend just approached the library and asked and they offered the room and advertising. We usually get around 10 - 15 women and the library is loving the publicity. I'm finding it such a great way to connect with people in town that I wouldn't otherwise meet.
