December Daily 8

Today was yet another busy day, but a good busy day. We did not have a good night last night and I woke up dragging after very little sleep with Baby Bean and didn't know how I would face the day but once I got started, it wasn't so bad. We had church first, which was nice.

If you have been around here a while, you know that our church used to meet in a hockey arena and over the last couple of years, we underwent a build. All the members of the congregation went up to help whenever they could and while we are still ironing out some of the bugs, the new building is lovely and it's so nice to have a permanent home. This year, someone donated an 18 ft tree that graces our lobby.
After our church service, we went running out to another - friends of ours were having their sons baptised at a Catholic church about half an hour away. It was interesting - we had never been to a Catholic baptism. It was really special to get to be a part of such a special event. The service at the church was followed by an amazing lunch and family get together with the baptised children. The food was great, the company was lovely and the snow was bucketing down outside, making it all very cozy.

I've included the photo below because it really captures the fun that Pk and the baptism boy were having, running everywhere. They truly were a blur! Isn't that what friends are for when you are 3?
We had to leave before the serving of the cake (Baby Bean had reached his limit) and Pk was devastated. What a sweet family, not only sending us home with a piece for her but then delivering more cake to our house for Pk so that she could try each kind. We are very lucky people!
